Notes from Trip to Virginia Tech 6/18-19/1998

The Virginia Tech (VPI) trip was very informative. It was a great opportunity to see the virtual environment facilities and programs at the university. The unique manner in which VPI handles intellectual property creates strong opportunities for industrial partner/university collaboration. A main example of this collaboration was VPST (Virtual Prototyping and Simulation Technologies, Inc.) a company created by both Prosolvia and VPI. Prosolvia owns 75% of VPST and VPI owns 25%. Glen Wheless and Cathy Lascara also visited the VPI facilities with John Toole and myself.
