GRID @ Siggraph 98 - Orlando, Florida
At the Immersadesk2:
GRID had a prominent position in EVL's Guerrila VR exhibition
at Siggraph98. The schedule had GRID scheduled for prime times
at the stationary Immersadesk2 located on the edge
of the Digital Pavillion. Many people passed by to
see the show.
At the Immersadesk3:
The plasma screen in my opinion was a huge success. Many
of the EVLers complained about the fact that the red and green decay times
were too slow for immersive stereo. I found that the stereo
was sloppy because of the slow decay rate. However, in
an unscientific test, I found that 3/4's of the people viewing
GRID could see the stereo and were happily immersed.
