Multi Way Collab
pdesks: 1 ncsa idesks: 2 anl 1 dod 1 indiana 1 uiuc 1 uic 1 sgi - did not use tracking or wand or CaveLib don't know what they were doing with it 1 nec - really interesting collab stuff COVICE with Stuttgart http://www.uni-stuttgart.de/RUSuser/ vis/Covise/covise.html
The CAVERNUS Bof was a success with 30+ people showing even though the PACI and SGI parties conflicted. Great presentations by Jason Leigh, Volodymyr Kindratenko and Glen Wheless concerning the software stuff. Ted Jordan spoke about CAVE's and Kurt Hoffmeister spoke about SSVR Systems. Suprisingly, the SSVR systems are 100K cheaper and implement the "seamless corner" technique used on the EVL BAT CAVE. They also plan to be competing against the Idesk with the Baron. MechDyne also hosts a variety of software solutions for the the virtual environments.
