EVL
Several years later, after working as a
production coordinator for an international
marketing consultant firm (Frank Lynn and Associates),
I returned to academia in pursuit of a Masters of Fine Art.
At the Electronic Visualization Laboratory in the
University of Illinois at Chicago, I came face to face with
virtual reality. One year prior to my admittance,
EVL invented the CAVE. Because of my sculptural
background, I became very interested in the
hardware construction of the CAVE as well as the
development of applications (software). It was
this unique knowledge of the overall system which
has propelled me into the position I now hold
at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications.
